I second the calls to not use the onboard LAN, as mine caused a slightly-noticable high-pitched sound whenever it was active. I was running prime 95, and I couldn’t even get 1kilobit per second on my megabit ethernet integrated card.

Wont even recognize anything is connected. Okay, so it doesn’t have Dual-channel DDR support. Dear Comcast, I won’t use your email service I’ve seen a few of these boards now that wouldn’t run at or auto, but since your cable modem is only a 10Mb anyway, setting it to force 10 full duplex will still result in full speed from the modem.
Sigh, well today I went and bought a new Ethernet cable, and after turning off the modem for a few seconds, and plugging it back in, its working great on Ethernet. One thing I noticed was under the Advanced tab, it lists Network Address as not present, or I can enter a value for it.
Possibly a bad Ethernet cable, might have to try a new one.
This would be ideal for efhernet since I have a video card of my own I’d like to use anyway. I really dont see what I’d gain by going Ethernet, possibly lower pings?

I saw a couple of benchmarks comparing the X-X and X, and for the most part they were very similar the X taking the lead always, but not by much. What is your OS?
