I’ve solved this problem by first installing windows r2 via IBM’s ServerGuide and then did an inplace upgrade to R2. The installation started for W R2 64bit. I’d use the official Adaptec drivers for W2K8. Registration is quick, simple and absolutely free. I did actually find these drivers a couple of weeks ago, works like a darn for me.

I’m trying to install Server 64x on my x with AIC raid and I can’t seem to find a suitable driver. The performance was much hostfaid and the card cost me about bucks new in the box from a reseller. I’d previously used it as a temporary Exchange server to migrate from one which was about to die.
