Thanks for the reply on the network drivers I’ve updated sudio and for your offer of help with analyzing the minidump file. So if you plug a HDA front panel into an AC97 motherboard you will get no output on the rear audio output. I hope its not the board.


I would check to see if the plugs are still wired to the jacks. I have installed all the drivers. I will be adding emphasis. New 30 Jul 2. Bad news is that there isn’t enough information in the minidump to conclusively nail a cause.

Thanks for the reply! It is up to software whether to disable the rear panel audio output when a connector is plugged into the front panel output. The work-around was to go into Device Manager and uninstall the sound drivers. I have already done that as well, sorry for not including it in my azaila.

Manual update still no progress 5. Adding this as a comment in case someone comes across it. AC97 is a true specification standard as it pertains to generalized computer audio and both realtek, and c-media falls under that spec as do many of the older realtek and cmi codecs.
