I edited out that other line after checking Asus’ website.

I’d actually consider calling up Asus and possibly even doing a RMA if the onboard sound doesn’t work. They hope these examples will help you to get a better understanding of the Linux system and that you feel encouraged to try out things on your own. Having trouble installing a piece of hardware?
